Hover Fly on a light purple New England Aster

Final Seed Collecting/Native Plant Propagation Workshop of the Season

On Wednesday, November 9th from 9:30 am – noon, please join us at the Creekhouse (1075 Harlemville Road in Ghent) for one last opportunity to help the Farmscape Ecology Program collect seeds from native wildflowers.

Help us build our seed bank and take home seeds! This time, we will be collecting seeds from Brown-eyed Susan, Indian Grass, Switchgrass, Narrow-leaved Mountain Mint, Wild Bergamot, Culver’s Root, New York Ironweed, Showy Goldenrod, New England Aster (purple and pink varieties), and Heath Aster. Throughout the morning, botany intern Elena Kubicek will be on hand to give you an introduction on how to collect, store, and grow the seeds, and to answer your questions.

Please register with Elena if you are planning to come.
