December 7-9, Freedom and Destiny in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Third Annual Retreat
Chestnut Ridge, NY
3rd Annual Technology Retreat
3:45 pm, Friday, December 7 to 12:30 pm, Sunday, December 9
Chestnut Ridge, NY
An Exploration of Ethical Individualism, Thinking as a Spiritual Activity, and Human Morality from the Perspective of Rudolf Steiner’s Philosophie der Freiheit.
Co-sponsored by Threefold Educational Foundation and the Hawthorne Valley Center for Social Research.
During this retreat, we will investigate essential questions raised in the Philosophie der Freiheit to gain a view of the human being that can enable us to understand more fully the effects of technology on our lives without losing the idea of individual freedom.
A digest of pertinent passages from the Philosophy will be made available in November as preparatory reading, both for those who are familiar with the work and those to whom it is new. The digest is meant to be a stimulus to read, or reread, the whole work.
For more information and to register (by November 25), visit http://www.threefold.org/events/tickets.aspx, and scroll down to the appropriate listing.
Local contact is Gary Lamb @ [email protected].
